Happy Blog Post Day, everyone! This past Sunday we were stationed at the Packard Proving Grounds for their third annual Wedding Show and we’re excited to tell you all about it! We met tons of lovely brides, grooms, parents, friends, and vendors, and we had a blast doing it!
The Wedding Show was divided into four sections, each representing a different season. For our winter theme, we decided to ditch the glitter and snowflakes (it’s March and we’re soooo over snow), and chose elements of greenery, antlers, and birch trees for our lodge-themed lounge area. We also extended our booth, uniting with the talented Bellisario Florist, who designed the floral centerpieces on our wooden communal table and built us hoops of frosted greens.
Hanging over our faux mantle, on the boxwood wall, was a borrowed buck, lovingly dubbed Carl, with our ivory ornate frame surrounding him. Atop the mantle was an arrangement of cylinder vases and candlesticks, greenery, and antlers. In the “fireplace” was a set of three copper and rustic lanterns set on wood slices. We even laid down vinyl wood flooring for an added touch of coziness.
We brought in some of our newest and most beloved inventory additions, like our Fitzgerald Arm Chair, Lindsay Fur Ottoman, and Round Metal End Table.
Our new Ellington Sofa featured our favorite fuzzy throw pillow. The coffee table was designed by placing two acrylic boxes side-by-side and filling them with birch tree bundles. Topping the coffee table was a wooden tray with industrial accents and a bell jar filled with more antlers and candles. Our custom transparent glass signs were handwritten to display our new logo, and another with Bellisario’s logo. The easels that held our signs were Todd Hardiek originals made of reclaimed wood furniture clamps and old rotors, which nicely fit the venue!
For the ceiling décor, we hung four 8’ long birch tree logs with rope and connected the logs to the custom rope chandelier with white twinkle lights.
For Bellisario’s booth, we hung a double layer drape of white spandex with grey chiffon as the front layer, creating a soft, light backdrop. A décor trend that we’re crushing on right now is hoops! The dreamy frosted greens added to our hoop structures made us squeal with joy. The table used is our wooden communal table with our mahogany wood folding chairs. The centerpiece combination of candles with white, greens, and birch logs perfectly complemented the theme and perfectly tied both booths together.
Behind the Scenes
What does it take to have something like this come together? Brainstorming, planning, man hours, and teamwork. Shannon borrowed the buck from a friend. Lauren designed the painted signs. Lindsay spent two days destroying her desk making the rope chandelier. Eric painted the fireplace. The décor team set up the booth that morning. Amanda and Lindsay manned the booth and got to hang out in our hard work all day!
